Since 1934, the Palazzo Madama has become the headquarters of the Civic Museum of Ancient Art, established in 1861 by the City of Turin to collect and preserve a rich and heterogeneous collection of works of art, coming from Piedmont and from the neighboring regions. Palazzo Madama is one of the symbols of the city because it allows you to breathe the air of two thousand years of Turin history; from when it was a Roman 'castrum' to when it became one of the nerve centers of the Baroque, until it became the protagonist of the unity of Italy.
