This tour will take you to the heart of Roman legends and folklore, in one of the city's most characteristic neighbourhoods: Trastevere. Here you can discover real hidden gems, crossing the Fabricio Bridge, the oldest bridge in Rome, and arriving at the Tiber Island, named after the Tiber River itself. Your guide will take you back in time, in the footsteps of the ancient Greeks and Romans, and will tell you anecdotes related to this small strip of land.
The visit will continue through the delightful streets of Trastevere and the Basilica of San Crisogono, little frequented by tourists and therefore included in our tour. Rich in frescoes and paintings, it is one of the oldest basilicas in Rome. We will then continue to Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, with its Basilica of the same name, and Piazza San Francesco d'Assisi to admire the church that houses the cell where St Francis was received during his visit to the Pope.
