Visit the extraordinary collection housed in this museum, established in 1471 thanks to the donation of bronze sculptures by Pope Sixtus IV. The museum is located in the two imposing buildings of Piazza del Campidoglio: the Palazzo dei Conservatori and the Palazzo Nuovo. These ancient buildings are connected by the Galleria Lapidaria, a fascinating underground passage that allows you to cross Piazza del Campidoglio without leaving the museum.
