The Royal Palace, built starting in 1600, is a jewel located in Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples and was initially the residence of the Spanish and Austrian Viceroys and later of the Bourbon dynasty until the Unification of Italy in 1861. In 1919 the then King of Italy Vittorio Emanuele III donated it to the State, which made it a museum centre.
Inside the Palace you can visit the Historical Apartment, the Staircase of Honour and numerous outdoor spaces including the Courtyard of Honour and the Courtyard of the Carriages.

Where to collect your ticket

On the day of your visit you will have to show your ticket directly at the entrance of the museum. Remember to arrive at least 15 minutes before the booked time.
