The Duomo is definitely a must for anyone who decides to visit Florence. The Duomo complex consists of the imposing Cathedral with the Crypt of Santa Reparata, the Baptistery of St. John with its marvellous Gate of Paradise, Brunelleschi's Dome, Giotto's Bell Tower and the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo.
The guide's explanation will begin at the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, where important works of Gothic and Renaissance sculpture are housed, such as Michelangelo's Bandini Pietà, the original of the Gates of Paradise and Donatello's Magdalene. Here you can discover the complete history of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.
We will continue with a visit to the interior of the Cathedral, with its artistic wonders, and to the Crypt of Santa Reparata.
At the end of the visit, you can climb on your own to Brunelleschi's Dome and enjoy a splendid view of the city.
ATTENTION: the ticket given to you by the guide at the beginning of the visit will also allow you to climb the Giotto Bell Tower, with no time limit, on the same day of the visit or on the following 2 days.

Meeting point
Your guide will be waiting for you in Piazza Duomo, in front of the central door of the Cathedral, and will be holding a sign with your name on it. We recommend you arrive 15 minutes before the tour start time.
Remember
ATTENTION: the guide service is not provided for the ascent to the Dome, which will take place independently at the end of the guided tour (binding timetable). The ticket given to you by the guide at the beginning of the visit will also allow you to go up to the Giotto Bell Tower, without a specific timetable, on the same day of the visit or on the following 2 days.
In case of non-participation in the tour, no refund will be made.
If you are late, the visit will not be guaranteed and no refund will be made.
Access to holy sites is only permitted to persons appropriately dressed (sleeveless shirts, shorts, mini-skirts and hats are prohibited).
