Piazza dei Miracoli, located in Pisa, is a monumental complex of extraordinary artistic and historical significance. This UNESCO site features four main buildings that exemplify medieval Italian architecture. The Duomo of Pisa, the Cathedral of the Assumption, is a wonderful example of Romanesque architecture, with a white marble façade and intricate details. Next to it is the Baptistery of San Giovanni, the largest in Italy, combining Romanesque and Gothic styles. At the heart of the square stands the famous Leaning Tower, known for its approximately 4-degree tilt, attracting millions of tourists worldwide. The tilt is due to the sandy ground on which it is built. Finally, the Camposanto Monumentale is a cemetery featuring ancient tombs and valuable frescoes.

WARNING: Children under 8 are not allowed in the tower.

The visit is also not recommended for those with mobility or circulatory issues. The climb to the top is on foot, with 251 steps. Museum entry is at a specific date and time.

EXTRAORDINARY OPENINGS AND CLOSURES

For special reasons or circumstances such as ceremonies or events, opening times may change or some areas may be closed, at any time and without prior notice.
Baptistery: Some areas are closed due to restoration work on the gallery. 
Cathedral: Open for visits at 10:00 am, hours may vary on Sundays and religious holidays.
Cemetery:  Admission is free on 1 and 2 November, on All Saints' and Dead Days.
Palazzo dell'Opera del Duomo: There are currently no exhibitions scheduled.

Remember

Please note: This visit is not recommended for those suffering from cardiovascular diseases and / or mobility problems. The climb to the top of the tower by its 251 steps is completely on foot.
For safety reasons, the entrance to the tower is not allowed for children under 8 years of age.
If you are late you will lose the reservation and you will not be refunded.
